No Bake Minions Pie

Minion Banana Pie

Minions are interesting little creatures, aren't they. They love powerful things, they are extreme followers and they love bananas. Who doesn't love bananas? Well okay to be fair lots of people don't like bananas, but wait we don't have to use bananas to make minion pies. The health nut side of me is trying to claw its way out right but the kid in me remembers pudding cups and it pushing that crazy girl back down, way down deep inside of me. Oh, man snack packs how we loved you, your chocolaty goodness still fresh in our minds. Sometimes I use to mix chocolate and banana together :), (okay I still do that at the buffet. Anyways this no-bake recipe is really easy and comes in a cute little box.

Here is what you need:

Recipe

1 Box Minions Banana pudding mix
Mini to sauce cups
Butter
Gram Crackers
Whipped Cream
Milk

You could use pre-made mini gram cracker cups but then they don't have lids and lids makes this easy to carry around say in a sack lunch.
This recipe is so easy to make you guys and here is a link to how you make the crust:

First, make the pie shells they will take an hour to set.

Quick overview if you don't want to read the crust blog:

Blend your gram crackers up until they look and feel like sand (yummy)
Melt your butter and pour it into the gram cracker sand, add the sugar and mix until it looks like wet sand, so no big clumps okay.

Take your small cup and fill it to the top with you gram cracker sand and press it into the sides of the cup making sure not to squeeze the cup this will make the shell you are making pop out and you will have to start over. Next press crumbs into the bottom of your cups. Put them in the refrigerator for an hour to set.

Making your pudding:

After your pie shells are set make your filling.

The pudding is really easy and heats free if you get the no heat pudding mix. Just follow the recipe on the pudding box to make the pudding. I like to use a blender to make the pudding just to make it a little airier, but you can also use a whisk or a spoon.

Fill your pie shells as soon as you finish mixing the pudding don't let it set or it will turn into pudding before you can get it in the shells. Let them cool in whichever way the pudding box says to let the pudding set. I always use the refrigerator it's the way to go most of the times, even if the box says you don't have to.

When they are ready and you want to serve them take a little trip on the cool whip train and add some whipped cream on top. If you like bananas before the pudding sets slice a small piece of banana and press it into the pudding making sure it doesn't go all the way to the bottom but is covered up on the top by the pudding. Doing this will keep it from turning burn.

Fun Fact: Bananas turn brown because of oxygen. Once released from their peak they will start to turn brown really fast but if you cover them with something that keeps them away from oxygen they will last longer. Something like pudding, or chocolate :).

I just adore these little guys and these filled treats too :). I hope you like them.
